Travel and Stay: Shanghai

CPhI/P-MEC China will be held from June 26-28, 2012 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, the heart of China’s financial and trade world, and the most important industrial base in China for the pharmaceutical sector.

Together with Guangzhou and Beijing, Shanghai is one of the richest regions in China. It has been called the Paris of the East, now they're saying it's China's New York. It's neither, it's unique. Shanghai is one of the world's great cities with an entertainment scene to match. Stylish restaurants, quality cuisine and a nightlife that's full of surprises.

Here are some information to help you prepare your travel and stay during CPhI//P-MEC China:

Visa requests

All visitors to China need to apply for a visa for their visit. Keep in mind that it might take some time for your embassy to process your application so make sure you don't wait until the last minute. We advise you to start with your preparations no later than one month before the exhibitions.

To apply for a business visa at your local Chinese Embassy, you will need:

- An official invitation letter*
- A complete portrayal of your trip including proof of flights in and out of the country, a detailed description of your travel route, and proof of your hotel booking(s)
- Your passport copy
- A recent photograph
- A completed visa application form

* To apply for a visa, you need an invitation letter from the event organiser. If you require this letter please complete this form and return to Ms Anna Zhu at anna.zhu@ubmsinoexpo.com, together with your Passport Copy.
